I put a few drops in my kids' bath each night and the whole house smells wonderful. Sometimes I also put a drop on a tissue and carry it in my pocket.
Love the smell of lavender and love to have it with me.
Good price

As I often use lavender oil for bath tab, room spray, and lotion, I bought the big bottle this time. Its smell is good and reasonal price. I am satisfied with it.

I use this to refresh my potpourri. Good, lasting scent. A drop on a tissue placed underneath your pillowcase, helps in lulling me to sleep!

My first use of lavender involved a heart-attack which lasted a few minutes before I was able to get into the house and crush some dried lavender blossoms which I had saved from a few plants I was growing in the yard.

(For some reason I had been compelled to grow a few lavender plants in the yard that summer. If I could have afforded it, I would have placed several huge tubs of it in front of the house. As it was, I was able to get a few pots and keep them alive that season.)

Returning to that first use of lavender, once in the house, still with the frightening feeling of a vice firmly weighing down on my heart, I breathed deeply of the aroma from the crushed blossoms, and rubbed them on my chest. The symptoms disappeared within a minute of application, after which I felt fine, only a bit lightheaded.

In a second instance, I halted a heart attack within seconds after its onset, by breathing the aroma from a bottle of lavender essential oil, and applying the oil to my chest. The third instance was not even an instance. I had learned to discriminate the feelings before onset, and used the oil soon enough that there was no onset.

Since those few times several years ago, by keeping lavender essential oil on my clothing and home environment, I haven't had even a pre-onset. Prior to that time, as far back as early childhood, I thought I had experienced heart problems which were maybe an "attack" (sharp pains in my chest like mini-cramps which hindered breathing).

When I had the real one, I felt exactly what I had read, like a vice was pressing on my heart or someone was sitting on it. There's no mistaking the real thing.

Now I keep lavender essential oil in my purse, and on counters and night stands in my kitchen, bath, and bedroom. Daily, I sprinkle a few drops throughout the house, on wash cloths and towels, in showers, sinks, and toilets, on carpets and bed clothing, in laundry when it's ready to wash, and in the lint trap for the dryer. What seems strange to me is that wherever I place a few drops of lavender oil in a dusty place, when I return a while later, the whole area feels cleaner. (Take note of the difference in the amount of lint in the dryer lint trap before and after you begin using lavender oil). Drains also seem to stay clearer and free of microbes.

"Lavare" (if I have the Latin spelling right) means "to wash."

I add a few drops of lavender oil into hand lotion or almond oil. That usage healed a virus on my hands, partially due to antibacterial hand soaps (which I have quit using, as they kill the friendly bacteria along with unfriendly, eventually inviting viral or fungal parasites).

Lavender is known mostly for having a balance of anti-bacteria, anti-viral, and anti-fungal agents, each of the three being a natural counterculture for the others, returning the body to a chemical natural.

In a Listmania on EO's I've included a variety of brands and oils, showing which are available on Amazon.com. Manufacturers of oils are reported to vary in dedication to good growing, harvesting, extraction processes, and they also vary greatly in price and detail of web site information offered. Since posting that Listmania a couple years ago, I have found outlets for larger quantities for the oils which I use regularly:

Lavender is number 1 in usage (from the product on this buying page), and NOW Foods, Clove Oil - 4 oz, is number 2. Oils of lower volume use, which I buy in smaller quantities, not as regularly, include NOW Foods, Anise Oil - 1 oz... Tea Tree Oil - 4 oz. - EssOil... NOW Foods, Eucalyptus Oil - 16 oz... Orange Oil Sweet - 4 oz - Liquid... BERGAMONT OIL, 1 OZ, by Now Foods, and ROSEMARY OIL 4 OZ NOW FOODS. Usually for carrier oils I use NOW Foods, Sweet Almond Oil - 16 oz, or Zoe Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 1-Liter Tins (Pack of 2).

Opinions stated in Listmanias and Reviews are my evaluations based on personal experience. As with everyone my conclusions of cause and effect are sometimes incorrect.

Note that all essential oils are highly condensed from herbs, vegetables, and fruits. Due to that high condensation, when applying them directly to the body, manufacturers of these oils recommend that they be diluted with carrier oils. For the heart problem described above, I use lavender essential oil "neat" (straight from the undiluted bottle of oil). I also use the oil neat in the household applications noted above. On hands, however, I add several drops to a carrier oil or to a favored hand lotion.

What I like best about essential oils is that they contain no other ingredients other than the pure oil of whatever whole product has been extracted.

As time permits, I hope to add a few more details about essential oils (and other valuable related products) in an entry to my Amazon Author-Connect blog.

Good quality.

If you mix a few drops of this with olive oil, it's a great anti-wrinkle face oil.
